The extra three days go into the places that reward a slower pace: a full day in Chefchaouen's medina, a second desert night that means you're not driving in and out of Merzouga on the same 24 hours, and an additional free half-day in Marrakech. The core route otherwise mirrors the 7-day loop — Rabat, Fes, the Ziz Valley, Erg Chebbi, Aït Benhaddou, Marrakech. This suits travellers who have 10 days to give Morocco, repeat visitors who've already done the fast version, or anyone who'd rather see one fewer place properly than five places quickly.
Pick-up from Casablanca, with a stop at the Hassan II Mosque exterior before continuing to Rabat for the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, and the Mohammed V Mausoleum. Overnight in Rabat.
Drive north to Chefchaouen, arriving by early afternoon. The rest of the day is free to wander the blue-washed medina at your own pace — the light changes the colour of the walls dramatically between afternoon and early evening, so we recommend a walk at both times.
