Ten days is the version of our Casablanca tour we recommend most — enough time to add Chefchaouen, the blue-washed mountain town most 7-day itineraries have to skip, and a second night in the Sahara instead of rushing through in one. Like the 7-day version, it starts and ends in Casablanca, so there's no domestic flight or long backtrack to plan around. The extra three days go into the places that reward a slower pace: a full day in Chefchaouen's medina, a second desert night that means you're not driving in and out of Merzouga on the same 24 hours, and an additional free half-day in Marrakech. The core route otherwise mirrors the 7-day loop — Rabat, Fes, the Ziz Valley, Erg Chebbi, Aït Benhaddou, Marrakech. This suits travellers who have 10 days to give Morocco, repeat visitors who've already done the fast version, or anyone who'd rather see one fewer place properly than five places quickly.

Pick-up from Casablanca, with a stop at the Hassan II Mosque exterior before continuing to Rabat for the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, and the Mohammed V Mausoleum. Overnight in Rabat.

Drive north to Chefchaouen, arriving by early afternoon. The rest of the day is free to wander the blue-washed medina at your own pace — the light changes the colour of the walls dramatically between afternoon and early evening, so we recommend a walk at both times.

A free morning in Chefchaouen (optional: a short hike to the Spanish Mosque viewpoint above town) before the afternoon drive to Fes, arriving in time for an orientation walk into the medina as the gates catch the evening light.

A full day in the largest car-free urban area in the world: the Chouara tannery, the Al-Qarawiyyin, the Nejjarine fondouk, and the souks. Your guide's local knowledge means fewer dead-ends and a better tannery viewpoint than the standard tourist stop.
