5-Day Luxury Marrakech EscapeA Five-Star Introduction to Marrakech and the Atlas
5 days / 4 nights·Private for your party (2–10)
About this journey
Not every trip to Morocco needs to be a full circuit — this is a five-day luxury escape built around Marrakech itself, with one day in the High Atlas for contrast, for travellers short on time who still want a proper five-star introduction rather than a rushed weekend. The pace is deliberately gentle: private medina walks, real time at your riad, a day trip into the Atlas foothills, and enough unstructured time that this reads as a short holiday, not a checklist. It's the tour we recommend most often for a long weekend extension onto a business trip or a stopover. This suits travellers who want Marrakech done properly — the medina, Jardin Majorelle, a hammam, real restaurants — plus one genuine change of scenery in the mountains, without committing to the Sahara or a longer circuit. If you decide you want more after these five days, this pairs easily with our longer luxury itineraries — several guests extend into the Sahara route once they're here and ask for it.
- 5-star riad throughout, in the heart of the Marrakech medina
- Private medina walking tour with a specialist guide
- One full day in the High Atlas foothills for contrast
- Private hammam and spa time built into the schedule
- Gentle pace — a genuine short break, not a rushed circuit
Day by day
Your guide meets you on arrival and, once you've settled in, leads a private late-afternoon walk through the medina — Jemaa el-Fna as the food stalls set up, the souks organised by trade, and enough orientation that you can navigate confidently for the rest of your stay.
- Private medina orientation walk
- Jemaa el-Fna at dusk
A relaxed morning at Jardin Majorelle and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, followed by lunch recommendations in Gueliz, Marrakech's modern quarter. The afternoon is free — a good day to fit in your hammam session.
- Jardin Majorelle and YSL Museum
- Private hammam session
A private drive into the Ourika Valley or toward Imlil (your choice), for a change of scenery from the city — Berber villages, terraced valleys, and a short walk if you'd like one. Back in Marrakech for the evening.
- Ourika Valley or Imlil (your choice)
- Optional short walk
A day with nothing scheduled unless you want it — souk shopping with your guide's negotiating help if useful, a specific restaurant booked, or simply time by the riad's plunge pool.
- Flexible day, your choice of activities
- Optional souk shopping with your guide
A private transfer to the airport, timed around your actual flight, with late check-out arranged wherever the riad allows.
- Late check-out (where available)
- Private airport transfer

What travelers say
“We had a work trip to Casablanca and tagged this on as a long weekend — exactly the right amount of Marrakech without needing a full week off.”
“The Atlas day was a good contrast to the city, and having a private guide meant we could just say 'let's turn back' when we'd had enough walking.”
“Ended up extending into a longer trip once we got here and saw what else was on offer — the team rearranged things easily.”

Questions about this tour
Yes, at this pace — it's built for depth over breadth in one city plus a mountain day, rather than trying to cover the whole country.
Often, yes, subject to availability — several guests extend their trip once they arrive. It's easier to arrange this in advance if you think you might want it.
Ourika is greener and more relaxed with waterfalls; Imlil is higher altitude and better if you want an actual short hike. We can help you decide based on your interests.
Year-round works reasonably well given the city focus, though July and August are very hot for walking. Spring and autumn are most comfortable.
It's one of our most popular formats for exactly that — a proper five-star short break rather than a long circuit.
A guideline is $15 per traveller per day for the guide and $8 per day for the driver on the Atlas day.
