Day by day
Your guide collects you from your riad and crosses the Tichka Pass, Morocco's highest year-round mountain road, at an easy pace with proper stops. Ait Benhaddou, the UNESCO kasbah from Gladiator and Game of Thrones, is walked privately before continuing to a design-forward kasbah hotel in Ouarzazate.

A rose-water cooperative and the Dadès Gorge break up the drive before arriving at Merzouga as the dunes turn gold. From there, a private camel trek — or 4x4 for anyone who'd rather skip it — brings you to a luxury camp with private ensuite tents and a proper multi-course dinner under the stars.

Sunrise over the dunes with coffee brought to your tent beforehand, then a private transfer to the Todra Gorge, where 300-metre rock walls narrow dramatically at the base. Overnight in a boutique kasbah property in Skoura, set among its palm groves.

The return route avoids day one's road entirely. You stop at the Telouet Kasbah, once home to the Glaoui family, Morocco's most powerful pre-independence dynasty — evocative and far less visited than Ait Benhaddou. Back in Marrakech by early evening, checking into a design riad in the medina.
